Mewelde Moore and Cedric Benson

I would recommend taking a look at Mewelde Moore now that Mendenhall is gone for the season and Parker has already been ruled out for week five. Cedric Benson was just signed to the Bengals and won't see instant production, but will eventually steal carries from Chris Perry. Remember that Benson was a top 25 back before he had off the field issues.

I am really liking fflibrarian.com Sara does an excellent job at finding information that you can use, great time saver.

I also like fantasyfootballxtreme.com for their excellent trade calculator and weekly projections. Check em' out.

If you haven't been to www.ffballlibrarian.com then you are missing out. Sara does an excellent job every day giving great links. I was using fantasy football daily planner but since I have found Sara there is really nothing better out there. She just added me as a link on her page; if I am lucky maybe she will give me a subscription to fantasyfootballxtreme.com but I am not expecting it. Check out Sara's site!

Hatty the Waiver Wire Guru Week 2

Dynasty League 2008

9/3/08 Add Antonio Bryant

Gruden just announced Antonio Bryant a starter in TB; I had been hot on Clayton but I would recommend Bryant over Clayton in this pass happy offense.

9/2/08 Watch R. Davis

Keep an eye on R. Davis of the Bears; he is WR1 on the depth chart for Chicago and could be a good bye week filler for your team.

Word Press

I just added a new wordpress account; it mirrors this site in the videos.

Videos

I have learned how to use iMovie 08' and I am now recording videos, sending them to YouTube, and then posting them on my blog as well as my website. I think the thing I am most proud of are the cool titles in the movies (oh yeah, and the advice). My goal is to have a new video for every week this year.

Spot Starts for Week 1

I am in a deep league of 16 teams and if a player is injured or suspended then I have to hunt the waiver wire for a weekly start. In week one I am in that situation with K. Curtis injured and S. Smith suspended for two weeks.

These spot starters are only for deep leagues:
M. Clayton of the Bucs, rumored to be turning a corner and coming back as a productive receiver this year.
D. Hagan of the Dolphins, 6'2'' WR with Pennington throwing to him now. He will be a great spot starter in week one and is starting for me this week.
A. Hall of the Broncos, do you need help at RB this week then I would suggest A. Hall who will be given third down carries and goal line carries. He will be a solid spot start in week one for injured or suspended players.
K. Watson of the Bengals, if he is sitting on your waiver wire then pick him up. With R. Johnson out of the picture and a previous starter last year Watson is an ideal spot starter in week one.

Add Rudi Johnson

Rudi Johnson was just picked up by the Lions as I had suspected. He will not see immediate production, maybe a couple carries in week one but will slow gain production as the season progresses. If K. Smith is injured or is ineffective then R. Johnson will be a weekly starter for your team or an excellent bye week/injured/suspended player fill in. If he hit the waiver wire in your league then immediately add him to your roster.

Watch A. Lelie

Watch A. Lelie now of the Raiders; he will immediately fill the WR3 spot on Oakland and with J. Walker up an down in health he could vie for a WR2 spot. A. Lelie will be great to stash on your bench for a bye week filler or spot start if J. Walker or R. Curry is injured. I would not consider him an immediate add.

9/2/08 Add Kurt Warner

Kurt Warner is an immediate add to your fantasy football team. I consider him a top 10 QB for the year and you can expect L. Fitzgerald and A. Boldin to both gain in numbers from this new starter. Please keep an eye on his health from week to week. If he sustains an injury then M. Leinart will be an immediate pick-up for you team.

Hatty the Waiver Wire Guru

Welcome to Hatty the Waiver Wire Fantasy Football Gure!

I firmly believe that no fantasy football team in a dynasty league format will ever be a consistent winner without properly using the waiver wire. The tough part is the time it takes to do the research to find these waiver wire gems.

The waiver wire is perfect for finding new keepers, bye week fillers, fillers for injured or suspended players, or to develop your team.

You need to be a great speculator to find waiver wire gems. I can't guarantee all my recommendations but if you follow my advice you will start to develop an amazing dynasty league team.

For all of you redrafters you will find this site helpful for bye week fillers and injury or suspended player fillers. I will occasionally find you a great new starter for the rest of the year.
