Hatty's Afternoon Delight

Back for another round and there are some interesting things going on in the world of Fantasy Football today. Nothing major has occured but some updates and a few new pieces here and there and I will do my best to put my fantasy spin on the news:

Darren "Two-Toe" McFadden
As if this season could not get much worse for the high profile rookie, McFadden is likely out for Week 9 with the first case of double turf toe I can ever remember. Not sure what is going on in Oakland or with McFadden to pull off such a rare injury but with Fargas healthy and the Raiders season already in the dumps don't expect McFadden to be rushed back.

A new sheriff in Denver?
It appears that Michael Pittman had a full practice on Wednesday and expects to be ready for Week 9. Pittman has some broke ribs reports say so if you have been playing the Pittman/Young carousel this year I would recommend dropping Selvin Young and getting Ryan Torain on your team now. He is the future of the Denver running game and whether he takes that role this year or next it is best to go ahead and grab him, especially if you are in a dynasty league.

Warrick Dunn
Dunn is likely out for Week 9 giving Earnest Graham owners a big smile with the Chiefs on the schedule next. Dunn had a pinched nerve in his neck that may turn out to be more serious than originally thought. Reports out of Tampa hint at Dunn maybe being in jeopardy for the year as well. FANTASY ALERT: Cadillac Williams has been working out again and said to look strong. Depending on what occurs with Dunn, Williams could be a hot waiver wire option in the next few weeks.

FWP
Willie Parker is back on the practice field and apparently missing the holes in the ground this time around. He looks to be ready for Week 9 and the pivotal Monday Night match up against the Redskins. For those owners who have benefited from Mewelde Moore's play in Pittsburgh don't be so quick to drop him if you have the space on your roster. If one thing is true, FWP has proven to be injury prone so Moore's role as a starter may come back around.

LJ
LJ will be out for Week 9 and perhaps longer depending on the ruling of the NFL. If a suspension comes down it looks to be 4 games but could be longer depending on how Goodell handles the situation.

That is all for today's Afternoon Delight. Feel free to email me with any questions revolving around player news, injuries, lineups, trades and waiver wire advice.
