Hatty's Afternoon Delight

Welcome back for yet another daily dose of Hatty's Afternoon Delight. A lot of big news today as teams get their final preps in for this weekend's games. This is a pivotal weekend for most fantasy owners as it begins the home stretch to the playoffs and for everyone sitting around .500 this is a must win week. We want to make sure you have the most up to the minute information so here are some news and notes of interest:

Pittsburgh's RB Scenario
This is not what owners of FWP and Mewelde Moore will want to hear but Parker looks like he will be playing but have some limitations which equates to RB by committee. I think this fares well for the Mewelde Moore owners because it is obvious that FWP still isn't 100%. Either is a good 3rd option but don't hang your Week 9 strategy on either Moore or Parker.

Santana Moss
Moss is expected to be a game time decision but knowing moss and my Redskins I would be shocked if he is not in the lineup. Moss loves the big stage and there is none bigger than MNF in that nations capital on the eve of a presidential election. If Moss does play expect him to have a big game with Polamalu a potential scratch as well. My guess is both teams are using the injury report to confuse the others game plan as this is a huge game for both clubs.

Hard Hittin'
Jason Witten looks as though he could miss this Sunday's game. I personally think he will play because he is a tough one but he has missed 3 day s of practice. Keep a close eye on this one but you may want to snag a backup TE in case he is a last minute scratch.

Tampa Bay Running Game
It appears as though Dunn will be a scratch this week so Earnest Graham is a very strong play. Continue to monitor Dunn's progress because if his injury is worse than expected there have been reports of a Cadillac Williams looking good in some workouts down in Tampa who could fill Dunn's role nicely.

Donnie Avery
Not convinced of Donnie Avery yet. Check out this quote from Torry Holt: Asked Friday if he's upset with his diminished role in St. Louis' offense, Torry Holt said "Absolutely."
"I’m surprised," Holt said. "I guess they feel that Donnie (Avery) obviously has been stepping up and making some huge plays, and they want to continue to get him the football." (Rotoworld.com)
If Avery is in your league waiver wire...GET HIM NOW!

Steven Jackson
Jackson was limited in practice and is still a GTD. I am putting money on Jackson playing this week but I said that last week only to be disappointed. Check our Sunday Scramble for the last minute news on Jackson.

Willis McGahee
Is listed as questionable....SHOCKER! McGahee has more injury updates than yards this year. He will play on Sunday though it appears.

A lot of big things happening today. If the news throws off your Week 9 Game plan then feel free to email us your dilemma and we will be glad to help. We are all about producing wins for our readers and want to help you take over your league.

Also, I have started a Sunday Morning Scramble for everyone monitoring player news to set their optimal lineups. I will do my best to get the most accurate information I can find and post it by Noon on Sunday to give you the most up to the minute start/sit advice.
