Player Spotlight "Mike Walker"

Mike Walker:

If Mike Walker is on your waiver wire then now is the time to grab him. Walker is beginning to emerge as David Garrards only go to reciever in Jacksonville. Del Rio and the rest of the organization kept hoping that Matt Jones would be that guy but he has proven he cannot get it done and Walker looks ready to take over that role. Coming off the best game of his career in which he caught 6 passes for 107 yards Walker has the look of a big time WR in the NFL. Many may forget that Walker starred alongside another huge fantasy player in Brandon Marshall at UCF and now is being given the opportunity to make a similar impact. At 6-2 210 pounds he has the size, speed and ability to become a Top 15 WR.

Jacksonville's offense has been shaky at best thus far in the year but a big part of that has been Garrard not having a true #1. As you can see in this clip he now has one: CLIP

With Jacksonville heading to Denver next week (30th ranked passing defense coming into Week 5), following their Bye week head to Cleveland (9th ranked passing Defense), at Cincinatti (6th ranked pass D) an Detroit (27th ranked passing D) Walker is being setup well to have a big stretch of games. Pittsburgh was ranked 5th in Pass Defense heading into their game with the Jags and you see what Walker could do there with little to no real help from the running game. At 2-3 overall and 3 games back of the Titans expect the Jags to put the ball in the air more in coming weeks with Walker being the main beneficiary.
