In a smaller league, you are going to get a top 10 QB, so I tend to focus on the major positions rather then taking the #1 or #2 QB in the first round. In the previous drafting article I mentioned that if you aren't going to draft a QB in the first round to focus on taking a running-back with your first selection. With the last pick of the round you will be drafting back to back so you really have to be prepared as you won't have nine other people drafting before your next pick.
Here are my targets in back-to-back picks:
Round 1 and 2:
Marshawn Lynch (he won't be there, but if he is then I am taking him), Jeremy Hill (he is looking sharp and stays healthy and Cincy will feed him the ball all day long) Demarco Murray (I worry he may be in a running back by committee, but I will take my chances on a driven RB in a high-powered offense).
Antonio Brown (he won't be there, but here's to hoping), Dez Bryant (my top choice behind Brown), Julio Jones (going to get nasty this year), Demaryius Thomas (Peyton Manning makes him so strong), Calvin Johnson (bounce back year)
Round 3 and 4:
Alfred Morris (new coach means he will run more and he stays healthy), Carlos Hyde (going to bust out this year), Frank Gore (in a sweet situation).
Jordan Matthews (ready to break out), Deandre Hopkins (doesn't matter who is at QB), Keenan Allen (bounce back year)
Round 5 and 6:
Greg Olsen or Martellus Bennett (my top TE targets after Gronk and Graham)
Keenan Allen (in case he slips to round six), Brandon Marshall (going to get a ton of targets from Fitzpatrick), Carlos Hyde (he won't be there, but I am hoping), Frank Gore, Chris Ivory (going to get a ton of work)
Round 7 and 8:
Seattle Defense (mixing it up here and taking the top defense, feel free to draft a RB or WR here instead)
Chris Ivory (hoping he slips to round eight), Charles Johnson (going to have a special connection with Teddy Bridgewater), Davante Adams (Jordy out, Davante in), Larry Fitzgerald (Carson Palmer will throw him the ball)
Round 9 and 10:
Big Ben (he is looking great), Philip Rivers (he has a ton of targets in a renewed offense) Stephen Gostkowski (another crazy early pick, but Gostkowski scores more than most people's TE's)
Round 11 and 12:
Arian Foster (he will be coming back this season), Darren Sproles (PPR league beast)
Davante Adams, Larry Fitzgerald, Darren Sproles, Alfred Blue (if I get Foster would be nice to have Blue), John Brown (has been looking sharp with Floyd out)
Round 13 and 14:
John Brown, Marques Colston (he will be a nice bye-week filler)
RB hand-cuff to my main RB from Round 1, Reggie Bush (if my hand-cuff is gone then I am looking for another PPR RB)
Round 15 and 16:
Owen Daniels (nice bye-week filler TE)
Markus Wheaton (a favorite late round pick-up)
