“Crap, my team is worse than the Cowboys…Make me a team out of waivers!”

Sorry to all the Cowboys fans but I could not resist. Here is the weekly installment for all of you who have struggling teams and just need to start over. Here is a list of players likely on your waiver wire that can give you a chance to win this Sunday!

QB- Dan Orlovsky: The amount of QB’s out there is thin at best and Orlovsky has potential to be a nice addition. He completed nearly 50% of his passes last week for 265 with a nice 96 yard TD to Calvin Johnson. With Roy Williams gone to Dallas, Orlovsky has less weapons but the Redskins have shown the ability to give up yards so Orlovsky could have a solid afternoon.

Other options: Seneca Wallace, Brad Johnson

RB- Cedric Benson: Benson has emerged as a potential great 2nd half pickup. Chris Perry could not handle the lead role and Benson picked up 52 yards against a tough Pittsburgh run defense. With Houston up next Benson is the featured back and could provide a nice bye week replacements with a lot of potential for the 2nd half.

RB- Duece McAllister: The Duece may not be on your wire but if he is you need to grab him now. The Duece has put up decent number 3 of the past 4 weeks despite being a secondary back and figures to be a key part of the Saints offense. The Chargers Defense has struggled all year so expect Duece to make an impact in London.

Other Options: Dominic Rhodes, Been Green Ellis

WR- Antwan Randle El:
Randle El had some struggles early on in the season but continues to get tosses his way with teams focusing on stopping Moss and Cooley. He has consistently gotten 50-100 yards per week and has potential to get in the end zone. The biggest reason to grab El this week is the Skins face the Lions who have let opposing scout offenses score on them so Randle El should have a nice week.

WR- Donnie Avery: Avery had a breakout week last week and proved he has the ability to be the receiver opposite Torry Holt the Rams need. With Holt’s age increasing as well as his effectiveness Avery looks to be the new deep threat after a 65 yard performance including a TD. Avery has amazing speed and great hands and now that the Rams offense is no longer stagnant he is a great bye week replacement with a chance to be a huge second half contributor.

Other Options: Josh Morgan, Kevin Curtis, Nate Washington

TE- Billy Miller: Miller was already a strong contributor to the Saints offense and with Shockey not making the trip to London Miller figures to be a key part of the Saints offense. Miller has been averaging 3-4 catches a week and this is a prime week for him to get into the end zone. The Chargers pass defense ranks dead last in the league so Miller is likely to get some opportunities

Other Options: Zac Miller, Robert Royal

K- Jason Elam: Elam is 38 and still one of the best and most consistent kickers in the league. With only having one miss on the year and coming off a 5 FG day before the bye week Elam is a great option to get you 10+ points per week. Denver’s offense seems to struggle in the red zone all of a sudden which is good news for Elam.

Other Options: John Carney

DST- NY Jets: The Jets defense is decent but the best reason to play them this week is that they have the Chiefs on the schedule. The Chiefs offense is one of if not the worse in the league and the Jets Defense can stop the run and force TO’s. Leon Washington also has the ability to take one back which just increase their value this week.

Other Options: Houston Texans
