2012 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 7

Mitch Stringer - US PRESSWIRE

Ready for the Week 7 waiver wire pick-ups? Well there is a ton if you find that your team could use some more depth or some spot-starters.

5 Star Pick-ups

Felix Jones (RB, DAL) - if Demarco Murray misses any time with his foot injury then Jones is going to be the go to RB in Dallas.

James Jones (WR, GB) - Mr. Reliable, he puts up solid fantasy numbers weekly as long as Jennings is out.

Kenny Britt (WR, TEN) - he will be fully healthy for Week 7 and is a worthy spot starter for the bye-weeks. Pick him up for sure.

4 Star Pick-ups

Denarius Moore (WR, OAK) - keep an eye on this kid as he is able to post solid fantasy numbers and one of my favorite WR’s for the bye weeks.

Montario Hardesty (RB, CLE) - only has value if Trent Richardson misses any time. If Richardson does miss next weeks game Hardesty will be a nice spot starter.

Alex Green (RB, GB) - Green Bay had no issues giving Green a boatload of carries. James Starks remains his back up and should be monitored but at this point Green is the one to own.

Jahvid Best (RB, DET) - if you have room on your bench to stash Best, we are going to know something soon as it relates to his ability to get on the field again.  He is worth stashing for another two weeks.

3 Star Pick-ups

Brandon Bolden (RB, NE) - slowly eating into Ridley’s workload although Ridley is the main man in NE.  Worth a stash if you are extremely thin at RB.  He does have a knee injury so you will have to watch his status.

David Wilson (RB, NYG) - he is worthy of a stash due to the potential for Ahmad Bradshaw to become injured.  Bradshaw’s durability is a real issue so stashing Wilson now is a solid move.

Kendall Hunter (RB, SF) - he is starting to creep into Gore’s workload and is a worthy roster stash at this point in the season.

Dexter McCluster (WR, KC) - his elbow has healed and he is an all-around type player like Percy Harvin.  The problem is that he is not on an explosive offense, so he is a stash as this point.

Mike Williams (WR, TB) - remember his talent from the past couple years?  He is boom or bust type start as he can easily disappoint on any given week.

Barron Batch (RB, PIT) - easy come easy go with Mendenhall. Batch is an unknown name but pulled the majority of the snaps in Pit when Mendenhall was out. Pit is going to run the ball so Batch is worth stashing.

Davone Bess (WR, MIA) - if you are in a PPR league then Bess demands some consideration.  He has a strong number of receptions and makes him bye week fill-in.

Andrew Hawkins (WR, CIN) - another player who is solid in PPR leagues for fill-ins.  He has just as many receptions as Bess and is worthy of a bye week PPR fill-in..

Stephen Hill (WR, NYJ) - this is a talented rookie who is a huge target.  At this point he is a player to stash.  We have talked about him in the past and I like him from a dynasty perspective as well.

William Powell (RB, ARZ) - more effective runner than LaRod but not by too much; if you are in a dire situation then Powell can be started, but he is boom/bust on any given week.

Daryl Richardson (RB, StL) - showing solid talent in StL and worth a stash at this point if you are very thin at RB.  If you are in a dynasty league you have to stash this kid.

Darrius Heyward-Bey (WR, OAK) - did he get dropped in your league?  Remember he is able to post 1,000+ yards in a season and can put up usable fantasy numbers.  I lean more towards Denarius Moore at this point given the choice.

Vick Ballard (RB, IND) - didn’t quite produce as hoped but worth a stash/spot-start for bye-weeks and injuries at RB.

Josh Gordon (WR, CLE) - unfortunately his QB is too much of a boom or bust to make Gordon too relevant.

2 Star Pick-ups

Shaun Draughn (RB, KC) - starting to get enough weekly carries to stash him; if Charles were to be injured it would be the Draughn show.  He is on bye next week.

Mario Manningham (WR, SF) - constantly putting up usable fantasy numbers for PPR leagues. Only use him in dire situations.

LaRod Stephens-Howling (RB, ARZ) - So instead of William Powell starting in Arizona they went to LaRod.  This makes Arizona’s backfield a little shaky and hard to trust when making a RB start.  LaRod was ineffective so don’t go crazy.

Brandon Gibson (WR, StL) - WR1 on StL and only worth a start in dire situations.

Mike Goodson (RB, OAK) - only solid if McFadden where to go down, but at this point not a worthy pick-up.

Doug Baldwin (WR, SEA) - too much boom or bust to start him in any given week, but worth monitoring him for now.

1 Star Pick-ups

Bryce Brown (RB, PHI) - another wait and see player, so go ahead and stash while we wait to here on McCoy’s status.  If McCoy is out then Brown makes a nice flex start.  At this point McCoy looks to be ok.
