2013 Fantasy Football Trade Targets

Andrew Weber - USA Today Sports
After the week 1 performance it's time to go after some underperforming players as well as go after players that will have a major impact in 2013.  There were a number of over-performing players as well who you can look to sell.
Trade Target
Dwayne Bowe (WR, KC) - KC offense looks solid and it’s only a matter of time before Bowe is used more often.  Solid buy-low candidate. He will bounce back and is a nice trade target for PPR leagues.

HOT TARGET Trent Richardson (RB, CLE) - He is going to be extremely solid this year, but is off to a bit of a rough start.  He faced a tough defense, but will find a way to put up solid numbers in 2013. One of my favorite trade targets this week.

Stevan Ridley (RB, NE) - had a fumble and Vereen came in and took the majority workload.  Ridley is worth targeting as he can produce.  Vereen is now out a month with injury and Ridley will earn his workload back.

Maurice Jones-Drew (RB, JAX) - Extremely rough first week on an offense that is struggling, don’t overpay, but he is a solid PPR RB.

Lamar Miller (RB, MIA) - if you can get Miller super cheap you can get him stash him on your bench.  Do not overpay for him, but the owner will want to get rid of him for sure. He should recover after week 1's horrible performance.

Ahmad Bradshaw (RB, IND) - he is still learning the offense and he is being eased in.  The owner may be frustrated and Bradshaw could come cheap.

Roddy White (WR, ATL) - he is still nursing an injury is not able to go full out now, but he is extremely solid on a high-flying offense.    He has a high-ankle sprain so you can wait another couple weeks for his value to continue to drop.

HOT TARGET Chris Johnson (RB, TEN) - he went up against a solid defense, but he will have breakaway potential and is going to produce in PPR leagues.

Danny Amendola (WR, NE) - owners will be weary of his injury history and may be happy to unload him.  PPR league owners should strongly consider him. He may be out now for quite a while so you can wait another week for his value to continue to drop.

Chris Ivory (RB, NYJ) - do NOT overpay for Ivory, but his workload will increase weekly as he gets the offense down.  Bilal Powell has been on the Jets for a while so is seeing more workload.  He is not my favorite trade target, so only trade for him in dire situations.

Marshawn Lynch (RB, SEA) - coming off a tough week and his value will still be high so don’t overpay.

Golden Tate (WR, SEA) - the Panthers defense looked solid which caused Tate’s production to fall.  Expect Tate to rebound quickly and is a solid PPR league target.

Mike Wallace (WR, MIA) - tough start of the season, but if you can get him for extra cheap he is worth a bench stash. Not my favorite target, but if you get him for nothing he does have upside potential.

HOT TARGET Calvin Johnson (WR, DET) - not going to come cheap, but never hurts to try.  Week 1 could be his worst week of the season in terms of stats.

James Jones (WR, GB) - have to love that he made no catches.  He is an easy buy low target as this won’t happen again with zero catches.  He was on the field 100 percent of the time and will be a bounce-back candidate for week 2.

Daryl Richardson (RB, StL) - If you are in a PPR league then go after Richardson as he looked solid receiving and is a target for Bradford when he needs to throw a dump-off pass.

Sell High (Overperformed and can be traded now, sell high!)

Vick Ballard (RB, IND) - with Bradshaw being eased in it will appear Ballard is the starting RB.  He can be used in a trade now while his value is fairly high.

Benjarvus Green-Ellis (RB, CIN) - he will only continue to lose carries to Bernard; after a solid day and TD his value has reached a high.
