2014 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 6

Chris Humphreys - USA Today Sports
Next week is another bye week and there are a ton of injuries so you need to be hunting on the waiver wire.  This is also a great week to look at players that have not been performing this year and cut bait for a player with upside for your play-offs.  There are a solid number of waiver wire targets this week and don't be lazy, go get em'.

Check wavier wire again to see if available...

Ben Tate (RB, CLE) - he better not be on your waiver wire, but if he is, then seriously get him already.

Brian Quick (WR, STL) - he should have been picked up a long time ago, but he is still available in many leagues.

Dwayne Allen (TE, IND) - he has been a red-zone target and a nice bye-week fill-in.

Travis Kelce (TE, KC) - shame on your league if he is still around.

Justin Hunter (WR, TEN) - did he get dropped?  He was on the field the most out of all Titan WR's.

Must Grab:

Odell Beckham (WR, NYG) - The Giants 2014 #1 pick finally got to see the field; he has upside and is someone you want to stash right now.

Andre Williams (RB, NYG) - second must grab Giant, if Rashard Jennings misses any time Williams will be a solid injury spot-starter. He also catches the ball out of the backfield, so PPR owners should strongly consider him.

Ronnie Hillman (RB, DEN) - Any starting Denver RB that carries the load should be owned; if Montee Ball misses next week, then Hillman will be a plug and play RB.

Marvin Jones (WR, CIN) - he should be back next week and he should begin to get involved. He is a stash at this point and look for upside for later in the season.

Branden Oliver (RB, SD) - down to another RB in SD, but Oliver was running hard as well as catching passes out of the backfield. If you are in RB need and Ryan Mathews as well as Donald Brown are both out next week then look to Oliver. If he can run like that on the Jets then he is a huge boom or bust RB next week.

Benny Cunningham (RB, STL) - if Stacy were to miss time look for Cunningham to be the bell-cow. He is a nice stash if you have the room and keep an eye on the news. He is very dependent on Stacy being out.

Spot Starter:

Andre Holmes (WR, OAK) - he was on bye this week, but he is a huge target in Oakland with plenty of upside. Oakland will need to throw a ton, so Holmes is also a big candidate for red-zone targets.

Eric Ebron (TE, DET) - he is a huge target with solid hands; lots of value in dynasty leagues, but if you are looking for a TD dependent TE for the bye-weeks then Ebron is worth a look.

Teddy Bridgewater (QB, MIN) - he should be in the game next week, but at this point he is still a stash.

Allen Robinson (WR, JAX) - PPR league owners only apply here; the Jags have to throw the ball a ton and Bortles arm isn't bad at all.

Mike Glennon (QB, TB) - he is looking solid and finding a way to throw touchdowns. He is becoming a nice bye-week or injury spot starter.

Jordan Matthews (WR, PHI) - is solid in PPR formats with touchdown upside; he is becoming more reliable for a bye-week filler with upside.

Tim Wright (TE, NE) - the Patriots looked like a different team this weekend and they went back to their two tight-end sets using Tim Wright. Wright was heavily involved and has a chance to be a spot starter next week on your team if you are in dire need.

Chris Ogbonnaya (RB, CAR) - I wouldn't be shocked if Ogbonnaya could stay on top as long as Jonathan Stewart is out, but Stewart should be back soon so I am just watching Ogbonnaya now. Honestly we have seen Ogbonnaya be a waiver wire wonder in the past for the Browns and I would bet we see more and more Ogbonnaya.

Antone Smith (RB, ATL) - every week he comes up with a crazy run and TD. Too hard to start him but he is just putting up numbers.

George Winn (RB, DET) - who? Yeah, keep a close on him if Joique Bell or Reggie Bush miss time.

Watch:

Storm Johnson (RB, JAX) - he is starting to get carries and is currently stashable if you have the room on your bench.

Michael Vick (QB, NYJ) - it's hard to say if he will start next week, but keep an eye on his situation.

Austin Davis (QB, STL) - honestly can't recommend him right now, but had a ton of garbage time productivity. If you are in a two QB league and like to gamble then Davis is someone to consider.
