2012 Fantasy Football Rankings: Players with Crazy Upside

Ron Chenoy/US PRESSWIRE
When drafting in 2012 I love to have a list of players that will go in some of the later rounds that have crazy upside and can become a weekly starter on my team.  Below is a compiled list of players that have the ability to breakout in 2012.

Eric Decker (WR, DEN) - anytime a player works out with Larry Fitzgerald you have to take notice and put a little star next to their name on your draft sheet.  With Tim Tebow Decker put up eight TD's and over 600 yards.  In 2012 I look to Decker to put up nearly 1,000 yards and near double digit TD's and Demaryius Thomas draws double coverage.

Fred Davis (TE, WAS) - many people are targeting Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski in the early rounds of the draft.  Electing to wait on a TE you will need to find a TE with gobs of upside.  Fred Davis posted nearly 800 yards and 3 TD's last year, but this year I see Davis posting the same yardage with eight TD's.

Nate Washington (WR, TEN) - Kenny Britt is a true knucklehead and many people will be targeting Kendall Wright for good reason, but the story is Nate Washington.  He posted over 1,000 yards last year and seven TD's.  Look for the same numbers in 2012.

Willis McGahee (RB, DEN) - ok, don't laugh at me here, but with Manning at QB this should open up McGahee for additional running space.  John Fox likes to run the ball and you can bet that McGahee finds a combo of 1,200 yards in the air and on the ground as well as over seven TDs.  BUYER BEWARE, McGahee is injury prone so be sure to draft his backup if you go with McGahee.

Mikel Leshoure (RB, DET) - there are tons of RB's in the Detroit backfield so why draft Leshoure.  Mikel is most likely, if he can stay healthy to show you crazy upside.  If healthy all year he should post 700 yards and give TDs.
